Tramp Art, like quilting, relies on using salvaged materials to create textures and patterns then piecing them together to make beautiful yet utilitarian
objects. While relatively unknown, Tramp Art was a wide-spread form of Folk Art that flourished in America between the 1870's – 1940's.

While Supplies Last!

As some of you may know, I have been
waiting for some supplies to arrive
so that I could finish some pieces and start
to make some of the new pieces
I have designed.

While waiting I decided to weave
a miniature Shaker basket.
I used to make these quite often years ago.

I enjoy making my baskets and think
I may just weave a few more to incorporate
in to some of my pieces. Placing a
sawdust filled pin-cushion inside of a basket
could be a nice way to top off a
sewing box....so keep your eyes open!

In an effort to keep creating and moving forward
I have started a Go Fund Me campaign.

As a new artist it takes a lot of time, energy
and money to keep creating and
meet the goals for your business plan.
One of the largest expenses, after supplies, is
the cost of exhibiting at the right shows
and getting more exposure for the Tramp Art
I create. To that end I would like to ask
you to contribute to this campaign if you can.
Any amount would be appreciated and
I would be extremely grateful!!!

It's time to share some images of

I am working on a Small Sleigh for another artist,
a Heart In Hand Threadholder & Pincushion
for a friend who designs wonderful needlework and
several pieces that I am looking forward
to finishing and having at my first show in Wilton, CT.
The American Artisan Show, November 6-8.

The Dog Days of Summer...

A small but wonderful package arrived yesterday...
the wood I had ordered two weeks ago!
Now I can finish up the 15 pieces I have waiting
for me on my worktable.

As you will see, I also have enough
vintage boxes, table bases and other items that
I can make a few dozen more pieces.
I actually spent yesterday drawing out patterns
for some new pieces. A good part of the day
was taken up printing out the patterns for 40 pieces.

Of course, I will keep working
till the supplies run out!

I guess Christmas really does come in July!
The Krampus Hot Air Balloon is soaring off to a new home!

Of course he is taking Santa, a Christmas Tree
and some presents with him.

In an effort to keep moving forward
and continuing to create my pieces I would like
to invite you to contribute any amount
to my Go Fund Me campaign. Any contribution
would be gratefully accepted. You can
